Mozilla Launched Firefox 3 RC1

Mozilla released Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 (RC1) earlier than expected… I updated it from Firefox 3 Beta. However, some of add-ons may not work with this candidate; and one of them is de.licio.us. (see RC1 release notes for details).

Firefox RC1 can be downloaded for Windows, Mac and Linux and available in 41 languages.

PayPal Says ‘NO’ To Apple’s Safari Browser

If you want to void online fraud, PayPal recommends users to use IE 7 - or IE8 when it comes out, and Firefox but not Safari. Per PayPal’s chief IT admin, Safari does not have built-in antiphishing filter to warn users when they’re visiting suspicious websites. Safari also does not have another antiphising technique, called Extended Validation (EV) certificate that will turn the address bar green when users visiting a secure websites.  

YouTube - the King of Video Site?

A few video sites out there… Vimeo, Metacafe, blip.tv, and imeem; they all have their own visitors and some of best video clips. However, it seems that none of them has UTube power to attract political campaigns. Law makers can get their own video on YouTube with ad free.

The response set the antiquated Franking Commission on a technological journey. The result is that within a month, YouTube plans to create a government ghetto, free of advertising, where lawmakers can post the videos of their choice… more - STLToday

Welcome To Firefox 3 Beta 5

Firefox 3 Beta 5 is available for download from Mozilla’s download page… This beta will be the final version for Firefox 3 per Mozilla’s chief engineer. Of course, there are many bug fixes for this beta version, which including more than 700 changes since the release of beta 4 three weeks ago. The speed of Firefox 3 beta 5 is faster than beta 4.

The final version of Firefox 3 is expected in June.

del.icio.us Add-ons Not Compitable With Firefox 3 Beta 4

Installed Firefox 3 Beta 4 last week and guess what? the del.icio.us add-ons, version 1.5.44, is not compatible with this Beta version of Firefox 3. Hopefully the Mozilla developers can come up with a bug-fix.
